Ok, so I took my wife to Trident last night (10-05-24), and I have to say, we were quite impressed and impressed. the food was really really good, our food server was very attentive despite the restaurant being really busy, and the drinks were really good...one of the best Old Fashioneds I've had in a while. my wife and I chose to dine outside. we were greeted with an impressive view of the Bay, with the twinkling lights of San Francisco and the lit up boats cruising around the Bay. it was an overall excellent experience and encourage anybody visiting Sausalito to pay Trident a visit

Cutest place ever and the server sat us right next to the window! I loved the vibes of the place, super laid back and bouijee at the same time. I got the burger and it was incredibly hard to eat (too big, could not bite into it). That would be my only complaint.

Okay, I was impressed by the beach vibes of this restaurant the moment I walked in and saw the posters and memorabilia from the Kingston Trio -- which I've never head of, but I thought that was very cool! Another interesting and thoughtful piece of information to point out that they do was out a brief history of the Trident on the menu! Again, very cool! My beautiful girlfriend and I were seated right away, and got a really good view of the Bay. Our server was very friendly and attentive with us. Now, the food. We wanted to try out the Poke and the calamari. I thought both were very fresh and nicely put together, as you can see from the pictures. I'd like to highlight the sauce that came with the calamari - it was sooo good! Spicy and sweet that I would put it on anything! It's that good. I do think the calamari could have been more crispy. Some of the breading kept coming off. The fish and chips were okay. Hear me out - it was perfectly cooked, but it had too much oil. It might've been out of the water, but that fish was swimming in oil. The chips were crispy and had a great taste to it. I'd love to come back here next time, I'm sure you'll see us visit again when we're in the area!

I had a really nice lunch at the Trident last week. I was on my own having a staycation day in Sausalito. The weather was beautiful and I got a table all to myself looking out on the bay in all its glory. The hostess was very nice in setting up the table for me. They had a special Aloha Friday Menu and I got the salmon teriyaki sandwich with macaroni/potato salad. The salmon on the sandwich was good but the odd mix of condiments and overpowering amount of red onion rounds were too much. Easily corrected by removing onions but the remaining tomatoes, seaweed salad and sauce were an odd mix on the sandwich. I'll stick to something more classic next time. The service was very nice and the view made me really happy. Looking forward to returning and trying something else.

First impression was how cool the interior design looked. It gave off a vintage feel to it which I loved! The great thing too is me and my boyfriend were seated right away. We started off with some appetizers and drinks-- I got an earl grey tea, and for us to share we ordered the poke tuna and calamari. I thought the poke tuna was good though it seemed like it needed the wasabi on the side. As for the Calamari, it was okay... every time I took a bite out of it the fried bread crumbs kept falling off. It lost the crispy texture of it. On to the main entree-- the fish and chips was really good! The fried batter wasn't too heavy, and it was light and crispy each bite I took. Although, the fries could be more golden and crispy but other than that the fish and chips is a must-try! Overall, I recommend this place for anyone who wants a crispy fish and chip!

Beautiful views at this restaurant, we were able to sit outside and face the bay. This establishment has been here for a LONG time, and it's a cool spot. They have an extensive drink menu so I was able to pick a tasty cocktail. For the entree, I ordered the scallops and risotto. The scallops were seared perfectly and tasted very fresh. The orange sauce added a nice creamy richness. The risotto was also really good. Service was attentive and we were able to bring the dog to dine outside with us.

We love to eat at the Trident! They have excellent food, the staff is great, the views of the bay are outstanding, and if you like some music history, this is the place! Many famous people have been here including The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, and others who live nearby. The Tolling Stones Tequila Sunrise was created here (as some say) and they named their tour after the drink in 1972. The pictures of Janis Joplin are placed above her favorite table in the house, where she could look out over the bay, glance over at the house she stayed in, and had her own little exit on the side of the Trident! If you want some great food, have great views of the bay, and be a part of some music history, check it out...you will not be disappointed!
